Steel has always played an important role in our frame repertoire. Perfectly in line with our manufacturing philosophy, the material exudes the atmosphere of traditional craftsmanship.
And although steel has been somewhat forgotten as a material for frames alongside aluminum, carbon or titanium, steel is convincing in terms of sustainability and offers other advantages, e.g. a material-typical elasticity that offers riding pleasure - without suspension forks or suspension seat posts.

Incidentally, a wide range of properties can be achieved by varying the composition of the steel. For example, our tube sets are based on the chrome-molybdenum alloy 25CrMo4, which, in addition to toughness, high corrosion resistance and good machinability, offers a particularly high tensile strength of over 700 N/mm².
The good welding properties of steel are also an important aspect when it comes to traveling and bike packing. While frames made of aluminum, carbon or titanium can only be repaired with great effort in the event of breakages or cracks, a steel frame can be welded almost anywhere in the world without any problems.
